Paws + Pause — Coping Skills for Big Feelings | Ripple Therapy

Every kid has big feelings. Not every kid has the tools to handle them yet.

Paws + Pause is a hands-on workshop where kids learn to name what they're feeling, calm their bodies, and handle the hard stuff, with a little help from a very good teacher.

Ages 6–11  ·  Sunday, September 21  ·  4:30–6:30pm  ·  Wheat Ridge, CO  ·  $85

What kids walk away with

Big feelings are loud, physical, and confusing when you're six, or eleven. This workshop gives kids a language for what's happening inside them and a set of tools they can actually reach for, at home, at school, wherever the hard stuff shows up.

The two hours are hands-on and dog-assisted. Nalu, our certified therapy dog, is part of the teaching team, giving kids something warm and steady to practice calming skills alongside.

Naming feelings

Building a real vocabulary for emotions, so "I'm fine" isn't the only option.

Calming the body

Breathing and grounding tools that work with a racing heart or a shut-down nervous system.

Handling the hard stuff

Practical strategies for the moments that used to feel unmanageable.

Let’s Calm Down Workshop:

Workshop August 10th!

Let's Calm Down
A Parent and Child Regulation Workshop

Big feelings are part of being a family. Let's Calm Down is a playful, hands on workshop where parents and kids learn simple tools for navigating those feelings together, right in the room, side by side.

This isn't a lecture. It's a chance to slow down and practice, breathing, noticing body cues, and building a shared language around emotions that you can actually bring home and use in everyday moments. Whether your family is heading into a big transition like the start of the school year, or you're simply looking for more ways to connect, this workshop offers something practical and grounded for both of you.

We keep the group intentionally small, just a handful of families at a time, so there's real space for connection and support rather than a room full of people watching from a distance.

Let's Calm Down runs one Monday a month from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at Space in Wheat Ridge, and is a great fit for families with kids in early to middle childhood.

UPCOMING GROUP- APRIL 26TH!

This workshop helps children understand anxiety, build practical coping skills, and feel empowered to navigate big emotions — all in a supportive, fun environment. Every child will go home with a resource packet full of take-home strategies- plus parent guidance to support continued growth beyond the session!
